WALK [G] - Gentle Activity

Note: Wellness classes are currently offered at Ste. Anne's Spa, Grafton location only.

During this wellness class you are invited to join us for a walk through the rolling Northumberland Hills. On your journey along our groomed trails you may encounter Ste. Anne's enchanting cedar forest, the spring-fed creek full of life or even visit Ste. Anne's Farms - home to a number of domestic horses. Allow the fresh air and exercise to relieve any built-up tension and re-energize your body. Don't forget to dress for the weather and bring your walking shoes and your water bottle!

Note: Bathing suit attire is not appropriate for any group wellness.

Your Class May Feature:

natural streams
man-made bridges
resting benches
hand rails at extreme inclines
navigational signs (ask at front desk for a map of the hiking trails)

Range of Motion Required:

walk for at least one hour at a gentle pace
walk up and down steep inclines and declines
walk on uneven ground
[P] - Safe for women in their third trimester of pregnancy, dependent on doctor approval

Don't Forget to Bring:

appropriate shoes for walking
water bottle
comfortable walking clothing
hat
sunscreen
bug spray (just in case)

Not Recommended if you:

are recovering from major surgery

have a major heart condition or other physical ailment that prohibits an increase in heart rate

have any severe joint injuries on your lower extremities
